A Beach Lifeguard Course with a difference.

Our 6 day course starts on a Monday morning and has the exam on a Sunday.  At the moment, we are the only Training Centre in the UK to include Surf Swim and Board Paddling Level 1and 2 Skill awards within our Beach Lifeguard and Surf Coach Lifesaver Courses. This really will give you an edge over the competition when applying for posts.

What else does the course involve?

As a prerequisite - you should be able to swim 400m 8mins. We will cover escape techniques, unaided tows, Signals, Board Rescue, Tube Rescue, Incident Management, First Aid, CPR.

OK- How Much will it cost me?

The course fee is £270 which includes membership of Surf Life Saving GB,   Lifesaving Manual, Exam Fee, certification for Beach Lifeguard Award and skill Level Awards.  A £50 booking fee is payable and is non returnable once you receive your training manual.

What if I havn't done any lifesaving before?

You can still do this course, as we have the knowledge and experience to pass on to you. However, you must be fit. So get in the pool and time yourself before you commit. If you can't complete the timed swim, don't be put off - we also offer the Surf Coach Lifesaver and there's no timed swim in that.

Where will the course be run?

The course runs in and around Porthcawl, and we can arrange accomodation for you at reasonable rates if you wish.
